Larry Cason is CEO of Gulf Shores, Alabama-based IL Group, provider of customized insurance solutions for lending institutions nationwide.
Cason’s insurance career with financial institutions spans more than 40 years. He began his career at Birmingham-based Protective Life Insurance Company as the national account manager and later vice president. He served the financial community by contributing as a panelist and presenter for several financial institution associations. Cason has extensive experience in life, health, disability, hazard and flood insurance. During his 20-year career at Protective Life, he led the company’s sales efforts for more than ten years.
In 1989, Cason left Protective Life to form Cason Financial Corporation, an insurance brokerage specializing in products and services for financial institutions and independent insurance agents. In 2001, InsureLutions, Inc. was formed and eventually absorbed Cason Financial Corporation, enabling the company to offer a wider array of insurance solutions to financial institutions. The company is known today as IL Group, Inc.
As co-founder of IL Group, David Stidham serves as president and is responsible for all operational aspects of the company. Stidham holds the esteemed CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation, signifying his successful completion of the study of five major insurance areas.
Stidham’s career began at Birmingham, Alabama-based AmSouth Mortgage and subsequently he served as assistant vice president to Birmingham-based Molton, Allen & Williams Corporation in loan administration. In 1994, Stidham was named operations manager of Cason Financial Corporation, where he was responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of all aspects of the general agency, including underwriting, customer service and claims management.
Having served in a number of key areas within both the mortgage banking and insurance industries, his experience makes him uniquely qualified to provide consultation and advice in both mortgage loan servicing and financial insurance products and services.
As vice president of client services for IL Group, Kevrin Blessing is responsible for enhancing client relationships and identifying innovative ways to serve clients more effectively. Blessing, who was formerly IL Group’s national client relations manager, has more than 25 years of loan servicing and project management experience in the mortgage banking and financial services industries.
Blessing began his career in 1992 with Huntington Mortgage Company as a real estate tax liaison, where he was responsible for maintaining vendor relationships, automating tax reporting and maintaining tracking compliance reports. He also served as the new loan set up/quality control supervisor, responsible for the coordination and auditing of all loans entering the servicing system. Blessing then joined Charter One Mortgage Corp. as a systems analyst where he centralized and restructured all loan origination functions after the acquisition of American Home Funding. In 1998 Blessing became a manager of escrow administration for AmTrust Bank. During his time with AmTrust he was responsible for all functions of escrow administration. Subsequently he served as a senior account agent for Safeco FIS/Assurant and was responsible for building and maintaining client relationships and managing large loan portfolios.
Blessing is a licensed insurance agent in the state of Ohio, a Certified Mortgage Servicer and an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association. He holds a bachelor of science in technical management from Kent State University.
As regional vice president of sales, Angelo Adams focuses on IL Group’s strategic sales and operations. He is responsible for marketing and selling IL Group’s insurance products to financial institutions and mortgage servicers. Adams’ leadership skills and commitment to customer service ensures client success and supports the company’s continued growth.
Prior to joining IL Group, Adams served as branch retail executive at BBVA Compass Bank where he managed sales, operations and personnel. Adams also was a banking center manager at RBC Bank and a branch manager at Wells Fargo Financial where his sales responsibilities focused on residential mortgage, auto loans and consumer lines of credit.
Adams earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama.
As regional vice president of sales, Tobi Libbra is responsible for marketing IL Group’s insurance products to financial institutions, mortgage servicers, and independent insurance agents.
Libbra brings 13 years of sales and managerial experience in the real estate industry to IL Group with extensive large portfolio investment representation. She previously served as an associate broker at Kaiser Real Estate Sales. Libbra also served as executive director of the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation’s education group.
Prior to joining the company, she served as president of Black Diamond Days, Inc., a three-day community festival in Gillespie, Ill. Libbra is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Alabama and a licensed real estate managing broker in the state of Illinois.
As national client relations manager, Kathy Boston is responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s client relationships including: supervision of daily interaction with IL Group clients; seamless transition of new clients; ongoing training and assistance; streamlining processes to improve operational efficiencies; and working closely with clients to ensure regulatory compliance.
A long time industry veteran, Boston has more than 26 years of mortgage experience. Before IL Group, she managed the servicing of 25,000+ loans as a mortgage servicing manager at Alabama Housing Finance Authority. She maintained key vendor relationships and worked closely with division leaders to improve internal productivity and profitability. Boston also served as a foreclosure manager officer of Regions Mortgage and assistant servicing manager at Colonial Mortgage Company.
Boston holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Auburn University.
